Box Nix 2025: Sophomore Slump or Progress?

Hey guys saw this as a main headline on the board, just wanted to wish you a successful year and Bo Nix looks like a up and coming star especially if and when you guys land one more good and or elite WR!

DC probably knows better on the best Rout Runners in the Draft .. I seen a little he probably knows the best at it. Restrepo has no speed jet he gets separation .... Speed and Rout running .....I have not seen.

And he is saying we will get a joker weather it is a RB'WR or a TE... so sounds like WR is very much a possibility

I think what we have done this offseason and what I am seeing in mock drafts with Omarion Hampton at 1.20 all lead to a progression for Nix and he continues to thrive under this Sean Payton offense and a top 5 defense in the league.

It was not them go watch the video... Adam said it . I seen Paton state it as well .. but I did not draw that into a player .

It looked to me like Bo Nix improved with every single game he played in his rookie season. It also looked to me like the things he did to be successful aren't things that a Defense can take away from him. I expect him to be a better QB in his second season.

My one area I really want to see improvement is the short and intermediate over the middle throws. I don't think he was the problem as the Broncos just didn't have anyone to really take advantage of that area of the field. Payton talks about the triangle over the middle of the field that his offense loves to attack and why he needs those Joker type players. Engram helps and hopefully they find a RB that can help attack that area of the field as well. I also think Vele could be decent in that area, but time will tell.

I imagine Engram will be a huge assist in this part of the offense. Having a true slot receiver would also be big. RB as a relief valve (or designed) in the flat is another area where the bar is pretty low from last year's unit, so an improvement to mediocre in this area would be massive.

There are a bunch of guys in this draft that could fill that Joker role. We've got the QB and I would love to see the team put some pieces around him.

If they can find a RB that can win in the flat but also then make some cuts over the middle or even move out to the slot and win every once in a while to really put pressure on the defense would be huge to see.
