Got to thinking about that today..........

A conference may be able to send 3............

If the wording is that a conference can't have more than 1 AT-Large team........

If #1 and #2 are from the same conference, that conference may be able to have 3 bcs teams.....

But I'm sure if that were a loop hole- it would have been noticed by now.

You are right. Team SEC could end up with 3 but some weird shit would have to happen. If I interpret right LSU, Alabama and / or Arkansas would have to end up as #1 and #2 and Georgia or the western division champion from the former 3 would have to win the SEC and not be #1 or #2 of the BCS.

The key is #1 and #2 have to not win their conference for it to happen.

"No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections, unless two non-champions from the same conference are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the final BCS standings."

Ok so alot of this depends on if Michigan makes a BCS bowl which would mean a win over Ohio State. Ill say they will for the sake of argument. IF Nebraksa beats Iowa then

Rose - Wisconsin
Sugar- Michigan
Cap One- MSU
Outback- Nebraska ( yes you will jump PSu since they lose 2 of last 3 and no bowl wants that kind of headache)
Insight- Penn State
Gator- Ohio State
Car Care- Iowa
TicketCity- NW
Little Caesars- Purdue
R@L Carriers ( at large)- Illinois

If OSu beats Michigan then

Rose- Wisconsin
Cap One- MSU
Outback- Michigan
Insight- Nebraska
Gator- Penn State
Car Care- Ohio State
TicketCity- Iowa
Little Caesars- NW
R@L Carriers- Purdue ( at large )
New Mexico Bowl- Illinois ( at large )

If Iowa beats Nebraska

Rose- Wisconsin
Sugar- Michigan
Cap One- MSU
Outback- Iowa
Insight- Nebraska
Gator- Penn State
Car Care- Ohio State
TicketCity- NW
Little Caesars- Purdue
R@L Carriers- Illinois

- Something to remember is that as of 3 years ago the bowls with B10 ties cannot take a team ahead of another team that finished with a 2 game or better record. That means that a 6-6 Ohio State cannot be taken ahead of a 8-4 Iowa, 8-4 Nebraska etc. Also Penn State needs to win the automatic berth to the Rose or they will fall as low as they can possibly fall before a bowl is forced to take them. No bowl wants to deal with that. Hope this all helped :) I of course am assuming a Michigan win over OSU, a Wisconsin win over PSU and then a Badgers win in the title game ( only cuz thats what I think will happen and there are too many other scenarios to break down otherwise)

I like your analysis and agree with most of it. rep.

Orlando paper reports that the capital one's dream matchup and the ones they are pursuing are Nebraska to play Arkansas.

Really? Well that would be a pleasant surprise if we somehow ended up in that game.

Wouldnt shock me especially if MSU loses to NW this week. MSU was just at the Cap One last year and their fans dont travel very well. Only way the Huskers make the Cap One IMO is if MSU loses their next 2 games. If MSU wins the B10 then Wisconsin is a shoe in for the Cap One ( assuming they beat PSU). The Cap One wants Nebraska if the Huskers are 9-3 over a MSU team that is 9-4 I can promise you that.
