no they aren't but we play the rays next week as well. and the orioles come to town as well. and the yankees this weekend. so while all the gloom and doom post are being written the jays could very well be back in striking distance after all of the horrible play. that's my point
I ignore the standings,as much as I love the Yankees position today
Any deficit can be overcome in mid May
What I look at is a teams potential, and what that means
The O's scare me, Buck is just that good it seems
The Rays scare me, cause winning in bunches post All Star break is just what they do
The Red Sox dont scare me for the same reasons they didn't scare me on April 1st, top to bottom lack of pitching
The Jays don't scare me for the same reason. They could be streaky, that offense will reel off good weeks of out slugging opponents, but not one pitcher on that staff, maybe Morrow and his stuff, strike me as anything at all special
