Man, I LOVE Boston...it's a great little town on the way to Maine.

Unless I'm visiting my daughter, going to a game or taking in a concert/show I have no use for it anymore. All 3 of my kids love the city and all lived in the suburbs for a bit so they could be closer to the action. Now only my daughter lives there and the other two have bugged out.

We have a lot of people up in NE. The wife's family originally comes from Mass, and she's got aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. still living in Western Mass, Vermont, NH, Maine or Rhode Island. And I have a sister-in-law from Portsmouth, but none of her family is still there since her dad passed away.

New England is good for the soul, lots of nice towns in this neck of the woods. Lot of great scenery as well.

I am 50 minutes from Boston, 40 minutes from the coast, 1 hour to either of the two big lake (Winnipesaukee and Sunapee) areas, 3 if you count Newfound Lake, 75 minutes to the White Mountain National Forest and 3 &1/2 hours to Montreal or NYC. It's nice to be so close to all of this.
