Game Thread: Boston Bruins versus the Winnipeg Jets SAT 1PM GDT

The Jets fly into Beantown for a matinee game versus the Bruins.

Neither team has been very hot as of late Last 10: Winnipeg 5-5-0; Boston 6-4-0.

Blake Wheeler has become a top player for the Jets and has 31 points and from what I remember last year played very well against his former team.

Iggy has been on a real tear as of late 5 goals in 5 games right when the Bruins needed some scoring punch. Guy is simply amazing.

Sidenote: GDT started a day early with the premise that no discussions should be made about fighting and what not. Lets enjoy the GDT and not argue over that point. Thanks.

How's the weather situation up there in Boston? Will there be any travel issues for either team, especially being an afternoon game?

I cant imagine the Jets will have trouble getting in. Its cold really bad but the snow stopped early this morning.

According to a site I check regularly Boston will probably be rainy most of the next 7 days but not get any more snow.

For reasons having nothing to do with hockey I hope that said forecast proves accurate!

I agree about Iggy ... he seems to have finally found his niche (with Looch & Krejci) and is contributing HUGE now. Perfect time for it, too, with all of the injuries and the 2nd half of the season coming up!

Got back in time to see the Bruins' 1st goal, however,and am glad they're on the board earlier than usual.

Some folks were thinking the Jets were starting to turn the corner. Well, they've run into a brick wall today.
