Game Thread: Boston Bruins Versus the Montreal Canadiens

The Bruins organization has issues. I feel bad for their fans (who I like on here), but their organization is trash - cheap shot artists, divers, etc. Worst organization in hockey. Couldn't happen to a trashier group of guys.

Is there some hyperbole intended here? I mean, I certainly don't have respect for some of their guys (Lucic, Thornton, Marchand), but I don't think I'd call them the worst in hockey...

Who has 3 guys that douchy that follow a coach as douchy as Claude Julien? Smashing guys into stanchions, tapping in the nuts, insulting guys in handshake lines, and then unbelievably complaining about refs/diving as much or more than any other team. You don't see this kind of behavior SO consistently from any other organization I can think of in the last few years.

Julien is probably the tie breaker there. And...well...yeah...I got nothing in terms of another team like that. Torts is the only other coach that is as much of a whiner. Only guy on the Pens I put in the same category as those three is Neal. Talented douche.

Exactly what I'm saying. Winners? Sure. Talented? Absolutely. Classy? Fuck no.

And the trouble is we have a league that doesn't do enough to discourage that kind of stuff. Lucic should have been suspended for the nut shot. Not 1-2 games. 5 games. Do it again? 20. The league does not hit the worst offenders hard enough. Guys that act like him are bullshit human beings. And the Bruins have too many for it to be the exception to the rule. It is the rule in Boston. Babcock sees something like that - what do you think he says to the guy? What does Julien say? It's pretty obvious what the culture is there in Boston. And it's embarassing. No hyperbole at all. The evidence is on tape again... and again... and again... and again.

Watching that lucic handshake, reminds me of my childhood days of playing hockey where you always had the one stupid immature kid who would go down the handshake line saying "you suck" to everyone

Exactly-after a tough series like that,exchanging pleasantries is the last thing on your mind.

When I was in Atom (11 years old) my team was actually banned from post-game handshakes for the last 25-30 games or so of the season because our goalie got in the handshake line with a mouthful of water and spit it in a guy's face, which led to a line brawl. Since the goalie was at the back of the line most of us didn't have any idea what he'd done, we just turned around to see some guy jumping on top of our goalie and sprung to his defense (and our backup goalie was injured at the time so he was all we had).

Who do you think would be interested?

There would be plenty of teams interested, I believe, but I think the Bruins would be looking to ship him to a Western Conference team. Haven't checked if Marchand has a NTC or NMC though.
