That's because a really good pass rush can make very average corners look great (Hello, Newman!). Now if we only had a quarterback.

Nailed it right on the head. The Giants have proven that. Doesn't matter how good your CBs are if the QB can't throw without having hands all over him on every play. I'd be MUCH more inclined to spend the money on 2 elite rush ends/OLBs if you're in a 3-4 than on 2 elite CBs while not paying as much attention to the front 7.

Also, as a Browns fan, I'd lay down on I-71 to have Andy Dalton taking the snaps in Cleveland.

Why? He's ordinary at best. Look in depth at his stats, and divide them up between good and bad opponents. He has been poor against good teams overall, and did nothing in two playoff games. He's young enough to get better, but imo his career is on the line this year.

Look at the Browns QB list, Dalton is like Tom Brady compared to them.

Beat me to it. Dalton plays well against poor competition but lacks against good opponents. Our QBs are equal opportunity shitsuckers.

Dude, then why didn't you vote? It's highly improbable that the Eagles take a CB with the 4th overall pick but this draft is determined by the number of votes a player receives. If you believe they're going to take a pass rusher you should have voiced your opinion with your vote. Everyone's vote counts!

How do I even vote? I have no idea what's going on in this thread. I just joined SportsHoopla like 2 days ago.

Since I have posted a couple of times in this thread without voting, I'll go ahead and vote for Ansah.

An exaggeration, to be sure. Maybe he's like Carson Palmer, compared to the Browns' QB list.

No he's not. He is 3 tiers above anyone the Browns have had starting since they became a team again.

He's three tiers below the quarterbacks of the true Super Bowl contenders.

Cleveland is on the clock, my vote is for DE Star Lotulelei.

My argument for Lotulelei is the same one I made for him being selected by the Eagles. The Browns are switching to a 3-4 Defense and don't have the linemen to make it work. I could see them selecting an outside pass rusher such as OLB Dion Jordan or DE Ezekiel Ansah, who's athletic enough to make the move to OLB, but after signing Paul Kruger to a $40M dollar contract the Browns opt to build their D-line.
