The Jets and Eagles both have problems at QB. If you don't have a qb, your other personnel decisions are meaningless.

Yeah, in a way you are on the same page. Don't bother wasting money on 2 top flight CBs. It's a waste of money.

It's an interesting point. Teams have long valued good corners and we do have a passing league. Yet, several teams with very average corners have won championships.

That's because a really good pass rush can make very average corners look great (Hello, Newman!). Now if we only had a quarterback.

They're switching to a 3-4 defense with no D-linemen to play in it. Why in the World would they spend the 4th overall pick on a CB when Blidi Wreh-wilson, Dj Hayden, Johnthan Banks and Logan Ryan will all be available at the top of the 2nd Round, especially when you have a Haloti Ngata clone sitting there? And lets not forget they signed CB Cary Williams in Free agency.

DE Everette Brown 6-1 256- probably move to LB
DE Trent Cole 6-3 270 - probably move to LB
DE Vinny Curry 6-3 266 - probably move to LB
DE Brandon Graham 6-2 268 - probably move to LB
DE Phillip Hunt 6-0 248 - probably move to LB
DT Ronnie Cameron 6-2 298 - probably move to DE
DT Fletcher Cox DT 6-4 298 - probably move to DE
DT Antonio Dixon DT 6-3 322 - probably move to DE
NT Isaac Sopoaga 6-2 330
NT Cedric Thornton 6-4 309

Plus look at all the teams that switch to a 3-4 defense they usually spend their 1st Round pick on a DL or OLB the year they switch.

DAL '05- OLB DeMarcus Ware (pick 11th), DE Marcus Spears (picked 20th)
KC '09- DE Tyson Jackson (picked 3rd)
GB'09- OLB Clay Matthews (picked 26th)
HOU '11- DE J. J. Watt (picked 11th)
WSH '11- OLB Ryan Kerrigan (picked 16th)

Plus the Eagles just gave Conner Barwin a six-year, $36M deal. I'm not a betting man but if I were I would bet Star Lotulelei is the pick.

I think it comes down to Fisher and Ansah. I think they should go Fisher, but knowing how the Lions draft I think Ansah is the pick.

Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU

Detroit is on the clock, my vote is for OT Eric Fisher.

I originally had CB Dee Milliner here but with Philadelphi opting for him over Star Lotulelei the scramble is on in the Motor City War Room. With the recent retirement of long time LT Jeff Backus the Lions opt for his replacement.

I think Fisher is a very good pick, if taken. Knowing how the Lions draft though, after losing both their DE's this offseason, I see them going DE.

Eric Fisher. They have too much money invested in their QB to not take a top 5 pick at OT to protect him, and try to keep getting the ball to Megatron more often.

You would have thought that for the last 3 years wouldn't you.

Jeff Backus- 18th overall pick '01: retires
Gosder Cherilus- 17th overall pick '08: signs with Indianapolis
Riley Reiff- 23rd overall pick: will start at Right Tackle

The Lions lost both starting tackles this season. They drafted Reiff in the 1st Round last season there is no way they can pass on highest rated player still on the board at a position of need.

Kyle Vanden Bosch leaves, Cliff Avril leaves. I agree Fisher should be the pick, but never underestimate a team that took WR 3 years a row in the top 10. They really need a DE too and they have reportedly been linked and been very very high on Ansah. Like I said I agree they SHOULD take Fisher, I'm not sure they do though. They will want ends around Suh and Fairley so they can't double Suh all the time.
