You're a monumental douchebag. That's why I chose not to participate in the draft, to avoid conflict. I forgot that you try to create it whenever possible with backhanded jabs that you can try to deny later on. Fuck you and your laughable attempts to goad me into long, useless arguments. If I want your opinion, I'll ask you for it. Otherwise, get a damn life.

Kleenex?

Now to be fair I thought Grey was trying to be facetious and you took his comments personal. Honestly a lot of the arguing on the board can be traced back to your brother. If someone doesn't agree with his opinion he starts in on the name calling. You may not see it because you're family but I think others do. And if you two don't want to participate, that's cool, at least I know I attempted to extend an olive branch.

No...I wasn't.

My only question is, if there were no voting how did you decide the picks in your Twitter mock?

I'd just like to know what metrics folks are using when they say one person is "full of shit" or how one website is good or bad. I suppose you could use easy metrics - How many picks does someone get right in a mock, but that's probably not the cleanest way to assess things as the draft is fairly dynamic in how things change according to early picks/trends. I suppose you could also try to make a ranking system of prospects, arrange a points system for where they are selected vs. where they are ranked and then determine who's rankings are most efficient. However, this probably doesn't work too well either as just because a prospect as ranked as the 12th best prospect, it doesn't necessarily mean they will be picked in the top 15. There are obviously other factors, such as how deep the draft is in certain positions, the value teams place on particular positions, etc.

What irks me though is how you guys (and there are several of you) go after each other about how 'right' you are about prospects and 'your mocks' vs the other mocks. Without a way of falsifying or showing that someone is right or wrong, all you're basically doing is resorting to petty arguments about shit you're bound to get wrong. Which is all totally cool if you enjoy such things. I'm just wondering if there is a way to be more objective about the whole thing.

It's not possible. It's as simple as that. Scouts scout players. "Analysts" read their reports. And some even discuss it with the scouts.

But when it comes to the draft, nobody has the resources that these teams have available to them, so these scouting reports likely pale in comparison to what these teams (minus the Bengals....you see what I did there?) have on these players. Furthermore, nobody that isn't in the organization close to the top can know everything these teams are thinking in terms of needs, or how they're thinking the day of the draft when things aren't going "picture perfect".

End of the day, as far as guessing who will draft whom, anybodies guess is as good as the next person's. Unless of course you have an Andrew Luck sitting at the top of the board.

Pacifier?

I wasn't referring to that jackass. Calm yourself down before you give yourself an ulcer. I was referring to the statement you made about Floyd going before him because of health.

Irony?

Oh, and I can appreciate the way you edited your post (and Crash's quote of your post) to tone it down after you found out Crash was being sarcastic.

Neither one of those posts has been edited otherwise it would say edited by Tubbs underneath each of them....and in case you are blind....they don't.

My vote is for Kenny Vaccaro.

Overall the Saints roster is set but there are a few holes. They need a replacement for LT Jermon Bushrod who was singed by the Bears in Free Agency but with the top 3 players off the board the Saints may opt to fill the position in the 2nd and 3rd Rounds in OT Menelik Watson, Terron Armstead or Justin Pugh. With the switch to a 3-4 Defense they need a pass-rushing OLB but with all the top prospects off the board and a deep draft at the position I believe they again opt to fill the hole in later Rounds with Sam Montgomery, Datone Jones, Corey Lemonier or Alex Okafor. I think they settle on Roman Harper replacement in Kenny Vaccaro. And while Harper is still a valuable player near the line of scrimmage his lack of speed was consistently exposed last season in coverage.

The Saints have needs defensively across the board. PFF has the team rated last overall defensively, 26th in rush defense, 29th in pass rush, and last in coverage. The biggest need appears to be the backfield, so I concur, the proper pick for the Saints in this draft is

13. Kenny Vaccaro S 6'0" 214 Texas

Xavier Rhodes, CB, FSU

As you guys said, defensive backfield is a serious need for them, but I think they go a little different route as I think Xavier Rhodes has a chance to be a special player in this league. There are good safeties to be had in the middle of the second round that is nearly as good as the top ranked safeties in my opinion. CB drop off is pretty significant also in my opinion after Rhodes and Banks though.

I can see your point Crash, I too was thinking Rhodes here, but lets not forget that the Saints just gave Keenan Lewis a five-year, $26.3 million deal so they expect him to be their #1 corner.

He doesn't need to be a #1 or even a #2 Cb to make a serious impact on that defense, as this is a spread formation type of league, and especially with teams playing the Saints. The Saints can put points on the board in a hurry, forcing opposing teams to go 3 to 4 wide to try and keep up with their pace of offense.

A better pass rush would certainly help this as well, but considering how the Saints play ball and what they force opposing teams to do, having 3 top quality CB's is almost a necessity now a days.

32 different people had their own team and made their picks. Currently doing another one, though I'm not in this one. Tubbs is.
