The Steelers' style is go for the best player on the board. Therefore,

8. Chance Warmack OG 6'2" 317 Alabama

I agree with Bengal Doug here as I think their biggest goal is protecting Roethlisberger, and with Colon gone, I think they can go Warmack here and have maybe the strongest interior offensive line in the league.

You guys realize they spent a 1st Round pick on DeCastro last season, right? I'm not saying it can't happen but this is a deep draft for O-linemen and they can get a pretty good one in later Rounds.

Justin Pugh OG 6'4½" 307 Syracuse
Kyle Long OG 6'6⅛" 313 Oregon
Larry Warford OG 6'3" 332 Kentucky
Dallas Thomas OG 6'5½" 306 Tennessee
Brian Winters OG 6'3⅝" 318 Kent State
Oday Aboushi OG 6'5⅜" 308 Virginia

That would be one hell of a draft

1. CB Xavier Rhodes
2. OG Larry Warford
3. OLB Alex Okafor

True. But they never seem to have an issue with their defense really. They are always a top defense. Where they lacked last year was protecting Roethlisberger. It would not be a bad option to have an interior line of:

G Warmack 1st round pick
C Pouncey 1st round pick
G DeCastro 1st round pick

Now that is building for success in the future right there. Three young, outstanding players anchoring the interior of your line. Pittsburgh actually has a decent amount of needs, but if they want to build for longevity, they go here. Rhodes is a good option too.

Okafor won't last til the 3rd. I think there's a very good chance they go G. The Steelers build from the inside-out. They haven't drafted a DB higher than the 3rd round since 2005 and haven't drafted one in the first round since Polumalu in 2003. They don't draft that way.

Your point is well taken. My pick was merely the highest ranked player available on your list. Warmack and DeCastro should make one helluva guard tandem, and the Steelers can return to their preferred style of physically dominant rushing to help set up Big Ben's downfield strike ability.

There are only 64 picks in the first 2 Rounds. And considering that Okafor is ranked behind Sam Montgomery, Damontre Moore, Margus Hunt, Cornellius (tank) Carradine, Datone Jones and Corey Lemonier the odds of him making the cut doesn't look good. And the, "they never" argument sounds a lot like the one made against Jermaine Gresham and we all know how that turned out. Yes, best player available plays a factor but does anyone think the Bengals will draft a DT this year, regardless who's the prospect, after taking two last season? Need and depth at a position in the draft pool also plays a role and the Steelers are fortunate that the O-line and OLB class is deep this year.

Don't get me wrong I think they can take a Guard because I think the Bengals could also take one if Warmack or Cooper were to fall. I would not be upset if that were to happen. But considering this is a deep draft, I could see them wait to fill holes on their O-line. But you guys are right, the Steelers could go with a Guard.

The Bengals took DT last year...two of them and nobody thought they'd draft one. As for Okafor, I have him ranked higher than both Hunt and Lemonier and way ahead of Montgomery. Montgomery will be lucky to be drafted in the first 3 rounds at this point.

I don't read any of those links. I've watched my own tape. Couldn't care less what McShay says or whoever. Posting them as evidence you're right is senseless

You realize that's what YOU said? He was quoting you.

What????? You're kidding? Obviously he was talking to me. Except it doesn't apply the other way around. He's saying Okafor will be a 3rd round pick because ESPNs rankings dictate it. I said Okafor would be higher because I like what I see and think he'll be taken higher. I just posted the links to show that I'm not the only person saying it.

Dude, that the point! You, "posted the links to show that I'm not the only person saying it" but earlier you mocked people who used links to make their point. This is the argument I have with your brother, there's no consistency in your arguments. If its silly when other people post links to sustain their arguments then it should be silly when you do it too. I'm not trying to get into a pissing match with you but be consistent in your argument. Otherwise you're arguing for the sake of arguing.

So, what are you saying? You're a hypocrite, but so is he?

Jesus Christ. I didn't say you were an idiot for posting links to support your argument. I said I don't pay attention when the links ARE your argument. You almost never make a case for a player that doesn't include the words ESPN, Ranking, or an accompanying link.
