I'm sort of on vacation. all though its a stay at home kind, as my van is running like ****.

I try to let you guys inform me of the draft picks, you post a name, and maybe I'll look the guy up. I don't get to watch much college football, and you have to filter whatever Mel Kiper and the rest of the hacks say.

Overall a pretty good mock but I just don't see Philadelphia taking a CB with the 4th overall pick. Though I do believe Miliner will go in the top 10 but just not to Phili. I honestly think the draft is going to turn out more like this......

1. Kansas City - Luke Joeckel* OT 6'6" 306 Texas A&M
2. Jacksonville - Geno Smith QB 6'2⅜" 218 West Virginia
3. Oakland - Sharrif Floyd* DT 6'2⅝" 297 Florida

6. Cleveland - Dee Milliner* CB 5'11⅞" 201 Alabama
7. Arizona - Lane Johnson* OT 6'6" 303 Oklahoma

A guy with a heart defect is not going 4th overall. Also Jacksonville is trying to get Flynn and Kiper and Mchsay neither one think Jacksonville is taking Geno. They aren't going to. Geno is going to Philly.

So Kiper, McShay and ESPN are all hacks until they say something that benefits your argument? And back to an earlier post, we can all agree now that the arguing starts with your replies to my posts.

Buffalo, QB, Matt Barkley, USC

After releasing Fitzpatric and basically having no one on the roster worth a spit, I imagine Buffalo will have a hard time debating between Barkley and Manuel, but in the end, after Barkley's pro day and the fact they have been looking for their next Jim Kelly forever, I think they go Barkley.

The Browns will kick the tires on Milliner but I highly doubt we'd spend a pick that high on a CB when we need so much else. I know we need another CB, but man, that would be a stretch. I'd much rather them trade down for someone who really wants him and then pick up a 2nd rounder.

Or they will take the coaches college QB Nassib in the 2nd which is by far the likeliest option. They aren't taking Barkley.

So just because that coach has that player in college means that automatically, he is going to take him?

You don't think Marrone would have taken Barkley over Nassib at Syracuse if he had his druthers? I imagine Barkley would have never considered Syracuse, so since Marrone had to take someone who would actually sign with him, he went with Nassib.

I just think Barkley has a much higher ceiling that Nassib, and that when it comes down to it, a franchise typically lives or dies by the quality of their starting QB. I imagine Barkley is a much more attractive alternative.

Also, Marrone knows what Nassib's weaknesses are also, kinda like Pete Carroll knew with Taylor Mays, which is why he drafted Earl Thomas over Taylor Mays, when at the time, Mays was a highly regarded prospect because he hadn'ty proven he sucked in the NFL yet, and most people thought Carroll would take his player from USC instead of Thomas from Texas.

With Marrone knowing Nassib's limitations, I just believe he would much rather try to get his franchise QN now while he has a chance, than hope Nassib is able to transition to the NFL from lowly Syracuse, where they didn't have to play New England, Miami and New York's defense twice a year.

It is my opinion, so all in all, I am sure this mock draft is no where close to how it is going to be, because with the cost of these contracts for rookies now, it has made it that much more attractive to trade picks during the evening. I imagine 6+ trades will be made in the 1st round before it is all said and done, which will completely shake up these predictions.

Still wondering if I can borrow your DeLorean for the evening.

You're absolutely right and beat me to the punch in regards to the Mays and Thomas reference.

I thought we weren't responding to each others post. If we are, then don't get bitchy when I say something to your post. If we aren't shut the hell up about what I post.

I think Buffalo really really really wants to trade back in this circumstance. They need WR, but it's too early for any of them. They need a QB, but Smith is gone.

I could see them looking hard at Chance Warmack after losing Andy Levitre, but teams don't value G enough. If Geno drops they'll take him in a heartbeat, but in this draft, as much as I'm not a fan of it, I vote Matt Barkley, QB.

Buffalo would be best trading back with someone like Minnesota and grabbing both their 1sts and swapping 3rds.

I don't know if there is anyone Minnesota would covet enough to get rid of both their firsts for while also getting higher draft in the 3rd, but Buffalo would most definitely be up for this, because then they can grab:

Cordarrelle Patterson and can still maybe grab Barkley or Manuel around #23. But since there is no trading in this mock, my pick is QB before WR, in this case, Barkley.
