How many of you members play hockey (Ice) and what position do you play? this is just a curios question nothing to do with challenging your knowledge of the game because you dont play.

I'm 50 years old and my name is Wayne Newton, not Gordie Howe.

I am trying to get back in shape in hopes of playing the world pond hockey championships once in my life. And if I can't play, be a coach. I just think doing that would be the shnizzle.

I know lots of canadians that dont play and never have....

I grew up poor. Government cheese when I was little and all that.

I think one of the reasons I never got into playing was because I didnt have balance, was always small/short until high school, and couldnt lift the puck. I also would never have interest in being a goalie.

Goalie and Center lately. I used to play some defense as well, but my shot from the point is shit.

Played A or AA until I was 16. Center, and left wing, ( I actually played on forgettable game, above my age group, in nets one snowy night) were my positions.

Didn't play again until my early 30s. A humbling but fun experience that was.

Now I play about 5 times a month. Beer league type thing. I kinda suck compared to kid Kenny, but it's awesome just being out there.

I remember my last year of playing competitively, i was primarily defense but our team was so bad that the coach would have me play center sometimes because i was the only one that could win faceoffs
