Tucson has a roller hockey rink. Bladeworld. It's right near a Sonic and a movie theater.

I can roller blade even worse than I ice skate.

Growing up in Buffalo, I played a lot of pond hockey and pickup games on ice whenever we could. Skating was not a problem for me.

Played street hockey a lot. While in high school, a few guys from different neighborhoods and schools got together and organized games.

After college I joined an indoor street hockey league. Always had a blast.


I preferred goalie and played whenever possible (except on ice), usually played d, but didn't really care as long as I could play.


Now I may lace up the skates again and check out an over 50 league that plays around here.

Pond hockey is included? well hell, I played every position in pond hockey (if you had shin pads, you were the goalie).

The only ponds in philly are little koi ponds in the neighbors back yards. And they are too small to get a real hockey game going.
