It is almost as funny as the same school thinking they will be a national contender in today’s CFB.

And FYI — You need to come up with new parameters. Harbaugh won two conference championships at SD. And he won a NY6 game at Stanford.

If Michigan were in the west these past five years, we would have (according to how the season played out) been in the title game twice by now. So don’t tell me it isn’t a factor.

Except your little "how the season played out" qualifier is retarded. If the season played out and you only had to play 3 teams from the West, sure... but that isn't how divisions work. What reason do you have to expect a win from any team? Especially given that Michigan has underperformed even by your own admission.
