Pelini will make an excellent DC. We saw him coaching it on Friday against Iowa.

I realize a lot of you think it was all Pelini for the past four years, but someone was coaching the players while Pelini was doing all that head coaching public stuff, and that guy sucked.(Papuchis)

Pelini won't have to do any head coaching media talks, shaking hands, kissing babies thing. Which is not Pelini.

He can mold very good defensive backs, we know that. Obviously, he does not understand linebackers. He will need help there. He understands defensive line, although he will have to stop the patty cake thing.

i don't think Pelini settles for a DC position. a lot of lower tier HC jobs will be open or he might even just sit out a year and try and learn some stuff, spend some time at NFL camps and try and figure out how to get over that hump that he wasn't able to get over here.

Look at some jobs open right now, I could see Kansas making a strong play for him. He could probably keep almost his entire coaching staff intact, Kansas wants Beck back as a throwback to Mangino days and JP isn't getting a job anywhere else, same with Els and Dobson. Plus Kansas would love to be able to get to 9 wins, heck they would take 6 and a bowl game and they might think Bo can get them there.

Those of us who were adults as the Osborne dynasty was rolling through their opponents can relate to everything Carriker wrote about dominance and expectations. We won't apologize for our views and that is why we aren't timid about getting a new HC at Nebraska. I won't name names, but some guys here were/are afraid to try to return to prominence with a new coach at the helm. Not I!

Yes and it is the exact thing that I thought when I read that tweet. I posted the same thing on here. It was just more of the us against them mentality instead of helping these guys transition.
