NFL 1000: Ranking Top QBs from 2015

Bleacher Report can put out some good material at times. But they can also publish some train wreck crap like the article linked above. That article actually ranks Cousins 28th among 2015 QBs. I'll be the first to acknowledge that Cuz still has things to prove. But 28th? Behind Matt Hasselbeck, Brock Osweiler and Tyrod Taylor? And also Tony Romo, who basically was injured for most of the season?

Maybe some good can come of this. Bruce Allen and the Redskins negotiation team can float this over to Cousins' camp to use as leverage during contract talks at the combine.

These motor scooters need to update from that slideshow bullshit.

I'd also opine that no good will come out of the Skins brass trying to use that as some type of justification. Like you allude to, its a whole lotta bullshit.

How can they even print this stuff? What year are they referring too. 2013 or 2015? A QB who tossed what 29 TD's and played all 16 games and significantly improved as the year went on. A QB who had the highest completion percentage in the league. A QB who gained leadership and trust as the year rolled on. A QB who had no running game and no number 1 W/R for half the year yet still had the season he had. WTF. These presidential candidates are more believable.

Just chalk it up to stupidity. There isn't a single metric that would warrant such a ranking.

Yards...10
Completion percent...1
YPA...8
TD...12
INT...14 QBs threw more
Rating...5

Wins...12

Turnaround from prior year, increase in wins...only Carolina improved by more games.

These ratings are complete bullshit! Here is the area where Cousins was primarily downgraded:

Accuracy
25/40

Cousins led the NFL in completion percentage with a ridiculous mark of just under 70, but looking at pure numbers betrays his lack of consistency in putting his passes where his receivers have to do the least amount of work to get to them. This was his first full season as a starter in the NFL, and this area was one of the many in which he showed some early lumps.

WTF? So he is being severely downgraded because he had some problems in a handful or early games & because the blogger didn't like where he placed the ball for some of those completions. Excuse me? Now QBs have to place the ball in a perfect position every time that involves no extra work by the receivers? Forget the fact that Cousins #s could have been better if his receivers didn't make drops in several games (I guess that doesn't factor in).

It is amazing what can be pawned of for journalism (or whatever you want to call this shit) at the current time.

Yep - especially for sites like this one that are littered with ads & are specifically configured so that you click on the wrong link that leads to some type of Internet offer selling some type of crap.
