The formula for passing is the same. How the game is played may of changed, but how they calculate the QB passer rating stat is the same.

You are saying Blake Bortles is a bust based off his first 3 seasons. I am saying many great QBs were not great passers (statistically) the first 3 seasons. Some were even considered to be busts.

Now, I am not saying he is not a bust, but I think he needs a few more years, especially since his team has clinched a spot in the playoffs.

on your list, only 2 guys have suited up in the last 20 years (im calling it 2018 already).

peyton had 251 picks in 4 more years than elis played. its a 26 pick difference over 4 years, or 6.5 INT's per year.

in other words, since eli averages 17 picks a year for his career, he will pass his brother in 18 games or so, with a more rapid pace.

And every December they end up finishing 3-13. The defense has gotten better, he's getting better, the team is getting better. That was the whole point of the thread, thread dead. Blake Bortles has gotten better and has lead the Jacksonville Jaguars to their first playoff appearance since 2007 and their first home playoff game since 1999.

And you mentioned 95 or better passer rating. Only 7 QBs of All Time have career average of 95 or better. Tony Romo, Peyton Manning, and Steve Young are the only ones that have retired.

He's more accurate, throwing less INTs, setting sacked less, highest QBR of his career. He's getting better when the team needs him to get better. About 8 less attempts a game. He's making smarter throws with those lesser attempts. He's still not a top 15 QB, but like I've said, the thread was all about whether he can get better or not and he's gotten better.
