It's kind of dumb to leave in the middle of the season, but barring an injury to Hurts, Barnett is doomed to be a back-up for at least the next three years if he stays at Alabama.

If he leaves now he gets to play at an FBS program next season. It's the smart decision for him.

Expect Barnett to end up at Oregon. He soft-committed to Oregon before Notre Dame. Ducks' offense fits his style and I'm not aware of any favorite to take over for Prukop next year.
