LOL - I totally fell asleep during the 2nd period. Worn out from long work days the last few. I missed the offensive explosion.

Oh well, Caps looked great tonight from what I did see. Came out strong from the puck drop and got it done. Truth be told, Khabibulin kept this game from being 5-0 halfway through. Way to go, Caps. Rounding into form! By line....

-Ovechkin has been playing better and better since early February - 8 goals and 13 assists (21 points) in his last 16 games
-2nd line has been so much stronger with the arrival of Arnott - Semin has played noticeably and significantly better since his arrival. Usually streaky, he has points in 4 of 5 games with Arnott and a +1 or better in all those games.
-And the 3rd line gets a big boost with the return of Fehr.

Good night even without Green, Backstrom, Poti, and either of our starting goalies in the net!

Caps have given up one goal or less in 14 of their last 30 games.

Maybe you should watch the game if you want to add to the GNT. Oilers were beaten by a better team tonight and last I checked, there are no such thing as "freebie" points in the NHL.
