A few of these are in the Jazz Museum in Kansas City (which coincidentally shares a building with the NBL Museum).

Fine line between jazz and blues, the first blues was actually a female blues singer backed by a jazz band.

By the way up above that is High Water not High Rattle......yep....?????

A lot of the blues was Delta driven and linked to oppressive lifestyles which bring me to Bukka White's PARCHMAN FARM.
Like I said on another thread, most blacks kid today don't really know their history and the significance of Parchman Farm.
The Convict leasing programs to circumvent slavery. Parchman farm is a significant embodiment of white supremacy and while in Black History month I thought it was appropriate to mention Parchman farm.

Well hell. let's hear that classic.

Big Bill Broonzy and John Mayall do great covers of the classic.

Tons of blues singing about jail, prison, chain gang.
