Okay, so since this is not a serious discussion....

I'd like to have Aaron Rodgers as our QB, and o'yeah, I wouldn't mind having Adrian Peterson as our starting RB either.

Just watched the game, and I was wrong. The defense played well, which I figured, but the offense in the second half was great. Nice win, and we're tied with the Steelers :).

And by the way, AJ Green is ridiculous. If he played with somebody like Stafford, or in an offense that knew what it was doing, he'd be an a pro bowler as a rookie.

Nice to see Marvin take 2 timeouts in to halftime again. He's a wizard.

I was glad to see Gresham get more involved. I don't think it's a coincidence that using him more resulted in a better offensive game. He's a big target, and I have no idea why he wasn't a bigger part of the game plan the past 2 weeks.

You get an average RB going up the middle. One average quick, elusive guy that can run the outside. And a good player that can do a bit of everything. How is that an all-pro skillset? Seems like a lot of average mixed in there too.

Because they all serve a certain role on this offense. They are really good at what they do.

Benson pounds the D for a quarter or so, lossens them up a bit, and then Scott exhausts them tryign to keep up with his quick moves and speed. Then if we can get a lead, Benson just continues to pound on that beat up exhausted defense.

Leonard can do a little bit of everything, so on 3rd down, you don't know if he is goign to run it, catch it, or stay in and block. He is a dynamic threat on 3rd which allows the Bengals the versatility to do whatever they want.

You find 1 back that can do everything these 3 do, you are looking at an all-pro RB. (Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Steven Jackson)

Actually, Benson and Scott are pretty average at what they do. That was the point. Leonard I agree with.

Unfortunately, our 3 guys take up 3 spots on the roster and on the field. I would give up all 3 for one player that can do 2 of the 3 things you listed above very well. From there, a filler RB would be pretty easy to find.

I don't know if it's the backs or the scheme, or the line, but for the most part, we're just not able to consistently run. Yesterday was nice, but that's not the norm. I'd love to have just 1 great RB and let Scott go. He's not impressive at all to me.

I haven't looked this up because I have better things to do with my time, but it seems to me that the really productive offenses in this league now get the running back and tight end heavily involved in the passing game.....Benson is useless as a receiver, and Scott is too, pretty much.....that leaves Leonard, who needs to average 3-5 receptions per game, and they have the tight end already if they just use him every week......I would love to see Leonard with 60 catches at year's end......

Yawn. :deadhorse:

I've made my feeling known about the RB situation on this team many times. Didn't feel it needed to be beat to death. We know anyone who wears the black and orange is good enough in your eyes.

What's the Bengals record since the three of these guys have been on the roster? Hard to argue with proven results. LOL at defenses getting tired chasing Scott around. If Benson ran hard like he did in the second half yesterday every game, I would love him. Too bad he doesn't. :target:

You are allowed to hate our RB situation, but you are beating it to death. Everyone is well aware of your RB hatred of Benson and how NICE it would be to have an all-pro like Peterson, Jackson, Rice, ect. Fact is, we do not have any of those guys, and we have to deal with what we have. If you are going to have to have a RB by committee, this is the best possible scenerio instead of 3 guys that have the same skillset. This wide of a variety of skillset helps make this team better than 3 guys who are just ground and pound.

Would I like a better all around back so we do not have to have a RB by committee, specialists, ect? Hell yeah I would, who wouldn't? It just is not going to happen, so there is no point in f'n worrying about it. I think that is teh real point. Forget about the shit, and just root for the team that we have. Things are not going to change at least until the offseason.

Agreed, except I never said I had to have an all-pro RB. Just more of an all around back in the mold of McCoy or Forte would be my preference in todays game.

Things will change for 3 games atleast, unfortunatly. Benson has a great game and ends up suspended. That would suck.

My whole problem with the running back situation has nothing to do with production.....Benson has proven, time and again, that he is a thug and a piece of garbage, and it makes me puke to have to cheer for him.......he's actually an okay running back, if one dimensional......
