I'll take Kansas City in a game that won't be close by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Their road record this season is more important than their post season road record since 2005.

I think it will be close but I’d bet both Mahomes and the defense will play better tonight than they did when they last faced the Pats.

Actually, they both have value. Historical stats mean a lot. I bet you'd put value in the fact that Andy Reid 2-6 vs Bill though wouldn't you?

Interesting point, but don't they usually play most of their playoff games at home? I don't think 2005 is relevant. I'm not saying they will win because I think they will lose but looking for a trend to say they will lose based on their recent history is kind of a reach. I'd imagine most teams lose road playoff games more than 50% of the time

Andy v Bill is more important than historical stats of post season games from 10+ years ago, where hardly anyone remains from those teams, and doesn't account for why they lost some of those games. (See v Denver with 4th and 5th string players on the field due to inury, and barely lost)

What I'm saying here is don't expect them to buck the trend of road teams losing. They are just as likely to lose on the road as any team. Just because it's the Patriots some people think they'll win. Historically though even the Patriots lose on the road.

Yeah, but Gronk may play a little harder in his last game ever today

So tell me why those games from 10+ years ago are still significant? I'm confused.

Yeah, he wants to test his acting skills because of the amazing performance he turned in on Family Guy.....

They aren't, that's the point.
But you said the stat that favors the Patriots is more significant than the stat that doesn't. Even though they cover similar timelines. Hmmmm...

You can find stats for anything these days if you look hard enough, up until last week KC hadn't won a home playoff game in how many tries, what is Reid's record in championship games yes I'll get that was the NFC still CGs still Reid as the coach.

And this week another stat on some talk show somhwere with KC scoring what 575 points this year, think the stat was of the 9 teams that have scored over 550 points in a season none have ever won a SB and only 4 have made it. only stats that matter are Wins and Losses and yes that isn't in the Pats favor with there record on the road. Game still has to be played though. will it change this year No. Hope im wrong.

Like someone up above posted they expect Mahomes and The defense to be better than the first game, what only one team can improve from the first game.

I think that it should be noted that in recent years, 2 of those road losses were in Denver. A place that is notoriously hard to win at just for some perspective. I look at the stat as more of a case of location. KC is also a tough building to play in for visitors. It gives the Chiefs an edge for sure. I guess we will find out tonight. I can't really visualize some blow out scenario though.
