Roids are definitely a culprit here but Lawrie's main problem is that he is a perpetually, emotionally immature shithook and his actual talent is far less than the talent he thinks he has. A player with less than 250 career games in the majors should not be challenging umpires to the extent that he does. Smart kids listen to their more experienced peers and let veterans and coaches deal with the umpires.

I totally agree. That's why I'm struggling with Bryce Harper's in-your-face cockiness. It's tough to take from some young prick.
