Baylor played 3 road games this season. They won by 10 and 3 versus bad teams.
They lost 32 to the only good team they played on the road.

At home, only one team (TEXAS) even made it as far as halftime with competitive football.
Most games are over by the midpoint of the 2nd quarter in Waco.

The next closest team was OU who trailed by 19 points at halftime.

Congratulation!:suds:

Ouchies.

Does it hurt even more to know that, although you beat OU...they will go to a much more prestigious bowl game (maybe even a BCS game), again?

:noidea:

No. I get the entertainment if watching CHOKElahoma get smoked in yet another BCS bowl

That's one of the only things that keep me from posting there on the reg...makes me feel like a preacher in a strip club. Seems that they have and infatuation with those things at times. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

My point is that there is no shame in losing to the 2013 Baylor Bears in Waco.

This is the least troublesome loss of any Texas game played between 2010-2013.

I was pleasantly surprised the game was very much in doubt late in the 4th quarter.

I don't think there is a single team in all of football (including FSU, Ohio State, and Bama) who is capable of beating Baylor in Waco this season.

not sure what your point is.

Texas, with it's backup, beat these teams in bold.

Two of those teams on that list finished Top 15. Okie State and OU. Texas isn't even finishing in the top 25. All three had to rely on their backup QB heavily. Mizzou had to rely on their back up most of the year. Auburn has a CB playing QB. Ohio State had to rely on their backup much of the year. FSU is starting a true freshman.

Your point wasn't clear in your statement, at least to me.

I'm not sure anyone was saying 'feel sorry for us, he's our backup', and if there was someone saying that, it wasn't me. Just the fact that all the other backups for two years now left the program, because Mack was going to stick with McCoy, is a problem.

Most Longhorn fans know that the QB issue is the whole crux of our problem, and that the staff has completely mismanaged it, and it is a microcosm of the mismanagement of the whole team. Which is why the entire staff, from the top down, has to go.

the Horn fan I was replying to was lecturing us for not giving TX a pass because they had to rely on two QBs

i'm looking forward to seeing Swoopes play. he had offers to Bama, Auburn, LSU, Baylor, Ohio St, Notre Dame, Stanford, aTm, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA, etc

Scout.com wrote about him:
"He is most often
compared to Vince Young or Terrelle Pryor and he
has a similar skill set. A long-strider, he glides
across the field and can score in a hurry. With the
ball in his hands he has the “it” factor of a special
player."

think what Gus Malzahn would have done with him at QB for Texas

yeah, just stinks that this staff burned his red shirt. Oh well, we'll see what happens. And yeah, Auburn looks really good.

If he's "THE ONE", you'll be lucky to get more than two years out of him anyway. He'll bolt early like the rest do.

No shame in losing to BU in Waco. Or losing to OSU. The early season losses were embarrassing for UT, but they adjusted(fired DC) and finished ok.

BU gets a shot to prove themselves in a big game now; away from home. History hasn't been too kind to them on the road in big games, but they have a month to get ready.

OU gets to wait and see who wants to be our next bitch. Yeah...you heard me.
