Sure it does. Two rivals in the conference and a shit ton of money compared to the ACC. Don't need much more justification.
I'd much rather have Oklahoma (if the Big 12 ever fractures again).

I mean ND isn't Maryland or anything. ND wouldn't join a conference because of money. And while ND does have rivalries in the B1G they aren't the most important ones.
You have 3 OOC games, pick whoever you want to play.

Who would you say is presently ND's biggest rival?

Hasn't USC typically been it? Then Navy as an important game (not necessarily "rival"). As an outsider, The B1G teams seen to come next.

I think a lot of people emphasis on Stanford. Where that falls on the list, I do not know.

Oh yeah..I was thinking Stanford, too. Sprinkled somewhere in that B1G splattering.

They could play Navy every year, then alternate USC/Stanford if they so chose to do. Or go all in and lock in all of their OOC with the same 3 teams every year.

Our schedule would be the same EVERY season minus a couple cross divisional games. That would suck as a fan.

Navy and USC are 1 and 1A. I'd probably put MSU at #3. Stanford is a much more recent rival, but we aren't giving up that game any time soon.

USC is ND's best rivalry, but not necessarily the most important game.

Then stop playing bad teams like Navy. I'm just suggesting if ND chooses to go that route. Rotate between USC Navy and Stanford, play two other games outside of that.

Lmao. Yeah so ND is the only program that can't play a bad team then? And Navy is hardly a bad program, they've had a couple bad seasons but have been relatively good for two decades. But it's not really an option to stop playing Navy. That'd be like me telling Michigan to stop playing Ohio State. Rotating those games simply isn't an option.

Well I think Michigan fans would be ok with not playing Ohio State every single year right about now.

If you get forced to join a conference, you won’t have a choice. At least if ya’s would join the ACC you could play Stanford, USC and Navy every year OOC and still likely have one other OOC game every year.

I think Delany has done a fine job.

The TV contracts, brilliant. Told ESPN to suck rocks and formed the BTN.

Not sure about the expansion into the east coast, but since the population is there, it was a had to be done move. Certainly could not go into Big 12 territory where no one is. The SEC and ACC have formed a pretty good wall on the SE and east coast.

Was able to convince the conference to bring in Penn State and Nebraska.

Legends and Leaders was dumb.
