It appears that Jason Kelce wants to call it quits after the season is over.

That’s about the way I read it today too. There are conflicting reports which leads me to it possibly being a contract play.

Also, from what I read, while it is about money (and could very well be about the team making him one of the top paid Centers) I think it is more about how Kelce has nothing guaranteed next year, and no dead cap hit. It could all be floated out there to get more security for his future, whether it’s highest paid Center or not.

He's been a Top 3 Center in the league the past two years. Gotta give the man his props, I was one of those fans that wanted him gone a while ago but he's bounced back nicely.

He is the 14th highest paid player at his position, based on average annual salary. There’s no reason not to find a way to give him a little more money.

I felt EXACTLY this way 2-3 years ago. He was getting blown the fuck up often on pass protection. I have watched for this the last few years and just really not seen it. Guy is a top C across the board and they should squeeze out a little more for a few more years.

He was battling injuries two years ago, but is fine now. Keep him, but draft a big mean SOB to learn and grow under his tutelage.
