I really can't see PAC taking Texas with the LHN. But with stories that Texas invited TTech in to make it a partnership might mean they are hoping for the PAC acceptance if their network is a regional.

They will lose a lot of power in the PAC though. The original members will not divide like the Big 8 did.

Originally, the LHN was going to be a partnered network with A&M, but those idiots turned it down.

THIS is why Texas fans find all this A&M leaving stuff so funny. They're upset over the 300 million contract, that they screwed THEMSELVES out of.

As long as Texas is in the Pac, Big 10 or SEC I'm good.....I don't care which.

That network will be the hold up for all 3.

Texas is going to find things to bitch about continually in the Pac. Giving up 80 years of being a self centered asshole is going to take its toll on the Texas ego.

That's a matter of negotiation. Texas is too big a money maker for any of those conferences to walk away from the table.

Not at the expense of their current members. You can be sure those conference offices and it's member institutions saw what happened in the BIG XII and they'll be scouring contracts for dotted I's and crossed T's. I doubt you'll ever see another vote go Texas' way that is in any way at the cost of the fellow members.

Texas needs to just go Indy.

Texas won't go indy, let's be realistic here. And despite what you think, MONEY TALKS.

No commish is going to pass on billions of dollars over a 300 million network, that's peanuts.

Then Texas needs to be prepared to be humbled. They won't be calling the shots anymore.

They aren't calling the shots right now. And yes, we do need to be humbled somewhat

Nice to see some freindly faces, err, you know what I mean...

So Boomer, your School Pres wants to improve the university academics profile. The B1G has really good academics. Miss the old Husker/Sooner dust up. And I think OU is a better fit in the B1G than the Pac... Put in a word would ya?

The point is that according to you, any conference would do anything to get teja$. The PAC apparently wasn't willing...

Wrong again, glad to see you still kept that great reading comprehension

THe Pac AND the Big 10 made offers, and were turned down. Those facts don't support your arguments here, and further support mine that Texas will get contacted and wooed by every major conference.

I'm sorry that seems to bother you so much.

The PAC was willing. Texas wasn't. They were using the PAC to scare the other BIG XII members (including Nebraska, Colorado at the time) into further compliance. Nebraska and Colorado said 'fuck you' and began looking for more security. Missouri also began shopping BiG at the time.

Texas had 2 fingers crossed behind it's back when dealing with the PAC.

Won't the Texas Legislature file suit? :confused2:

Sure they made offers. That is not in dispute moron. But if both conferences wanted teja$ as bad as you say, they would have let teja$ write their own ticket, i.e. uneven conference revenue sharing, ala the BXII. But bad news buddy boy. In the next conference teja$ joins, they won't get a dime of conference money more than any other school. You won't have Beebe as your puppet commish anymore. And no teja$ will not be allowed to keep the LHN as is...
