Yeah, I know Devers missed most of spring training, but that is still no excuse for stats like this. A hitter like Devers should be able to wake up from sleep in the middle of January, face pitchers who have been training for months, and still post better numbers than that. Looks like an extreme case of pout, pout, poor, poor pitiful me. And he can't be helping unity in the clubhouse with the half-ass pouting effort you are getting out of him right now.
Trade him now (even if you have to eat some of his contract), before he continues to kill his trade value even more. I watched Randy Johnson pull the same thing with the Mariners in 1998. I know what it looks like. Once RJ was traded to Houston, he started putting up Cy Young numbers.
