Of course there will be homerism in this one, but who do you think are the really good broadcast teams? Who are the bad ones? What individuals are really good or bad?
Definitely love Kruk and Kuip, but Len Kasper and Jim Deshais are right up there for me. I prefer a team to a single announcer. Does anyone aside from Vin do that? I know Vin is one of the best in the biz for some, but he really puts me to sleep. Sorry!I obviously listen to the Giants a LOT.
Miller is already in the HOF.
Kruk and Kuip will be in the hall together at some point.
Dave Flemming is the "kid" of the team, even though he has been on the team for 12 years now. He is continually getting a lot of national acclaim, and will eventually be pulled away from the Giants to be a big national guy (maybe in other sports than baseball).
Of course, I think the Giants team is the best, but is there a broadcast team that is that solid, top to bottom?

He is with the Royals?I'm pretty sure Rex Hudler has brain damage and possibly a social disorder. He's somehow entertaining though. He has said some of the weirdest off the wall shit I've ever heard from a sportscaster.
Yeah he is.He is with the Royals?
Does he detract from your enjoyment of the game?
I was going to say something about that. It's practically a sacrilege to say negative things about Vin, but I don't particularly care for him (or I should say I didn't back when they actually televised Dodger games). I would prefer to know what is happening in the current game than reminisce about some game from 1962.
Yeah, it has zero to do with my dislike for his team, he literally puts me to sleep. It starts as a slow zoning out around the third, then the next thing I know, I open my eyes and it's the 7th inning!I was going to say something about that. Who do you guys have? Are they any good?I grew up listing to Vin Scully. I used to love him. But recently, he just sounds like a repetitive broken record. Each time through the lineup his comments are word for word identical to the first time through the lineup.
I like the Giants announcers & the Dodgers Comcast team of Charley Steiner, Orel Hershiser, Nomar Garciaparra.
I hate the Padres announcers & loathe the White Sox's Hawk Harrelson.

The Padres team is painful-bad.
Mark Grant actually is not that bad, but he about 35 years younger than the rest of the crew. Ted Leitner is SOOOO bad, I change the radio station the second I hear his voice.
We have Bob Brenly & Steve Berthiaume. Brenly is one of the best around. Steve took a while to get used to. He came over from ESPN & brought that over-the-top hyperbole & sophomoric humor with him. He has toned that down over his time here. This is their third season as the broadcast duo.
Before that we had Darron Sutton, who is a giant douchebag, & the Mark Grace.
I think most Dback fans prefer our current duo to Sutton & Grace.
