I have nothing against your list but how could you leave off Robin Williams?

Sorry man, but if you read through this thread you'll see no comedian has been ripped more than Robin Williams.

Jerry Seinfeld is in no way funny. I've never understood what people liked about his nasally voice and/or comedy. It's not highbrow or intellectual in anyway, but his fans seem to think differently. It's just not very funny, IMO.

He has one of the best deliveries in the business. It's not easy to perform a clean show but have the entire house bursting out in laughter. That's how he's able to be popular with such a broad group of people.

It's perfectly fine to not like someone's brand of humor though.

I really liked Seinfeld 20 years ago but I haven't heard his stand up in a long time.

Check out his "I'm Telling You For The Last Time" special. I think it's from 1998 but it's my favorite show of his.

Carlin and Prior were my favorites. Don Rickles is an old school guy I always loved. Chris Rock has 2 classic HBO specials the first (Bring the Pain) may be my favorite hour long special of all time.

Don Rickles is pure gold. It's 2015 he's 100 years old and STILL funny.

If you've never seen it there's a documentary called "Mr Warmth, the Don Rickels Project" and it's awesome. I think Ivan Reitman was the director. Lot's of clips of his live show, of the celebrity Roasts and his time on the Tonight Show.

I saw him about 6 years ago and he was great.

Oh, and I find Jerry Seinfeld's stand up painfully unfunny.

They were amazing comics.

I lost track of how many times I saw Carlin. Every time he was in town I went. When he was warming up for an HBO special he'd play this little place in Westbury (Westbury Music Fare) that held a couple of thousand people in the round.

I liked the show but was not crazy about his standup. Same with Chappelle.
