...Frank Gore!

Yep, Frank Gore, the guy most people said was too old and on his way out to pasture. C'mon, y'all know you considered him a low end RB2...

Sad Footnote: I drafted him in both of my leagues and, of course, traded him. :gaah::gaah::gaah:

Who gets your award for best of the year?

In retrospect, I probably should have worded the thread title differently...biggest surprise of the year, maybe?

Zac Stasy! Picked him up in both leagues I am in and he has been gold since the Rams gave him his shot. WTF were they thinking starting the season with Daryl Richardson when he was on the bench?

Eddie Lacy is my second pick wonder how his totals would look if not for that jack ass Meriweather!

I must admit, I am lovin' me some Lacy. He's one guy I hung onto, unlike Stacy, whom I also traded.

I would say Moreno has to be at the top of the list of surprise players. He is 6th among all running backs in points in a standard league and I would say in a big chunk of leagues he wasn't even drafted or at least was at the end of the draft.

Stacy, Lacy, Moreno are all RB1s drafted at deep discounts. They are your guys.

I'll give Gore his due. Seems like the last few seasons everyone projects him to fade yet he continues to be very fantasy relevant.

Chef, this is a real good question. And one reason I think it's a good question is because there are arguably many acceptable answers.

Here's how I see some of the candidates:

Best RB1 - Your main RB was most likely drafted in the first round. I'm leaning towards AP, Charles, or Lynch. You drafted them high for a reason, and they seem to be living up to those expectations.

Best RB2 - If you were hoping for a good 1-2-punch RB2 during your draft, then hopefully you drafted Forte or Gore.

Best Rookie RB -
(I'm actually narrowing this to the rookies that came with high expectations like Ball, Bell, Lacy and Bernard.) He may have started slow, but my vote goes to Lacy.

Best Value RB
- They may have went undrafted, or were drafted very late, but my votes go to Moreno and Stacy.

Nice breakdown, Joe. That's more what I was looking for.
