By the way,

Nolan has been a liability in LF 4 out of his 5 years in the majors. He has a stronger arm, but misses his cutoff way too frequently, combined with his crappy range and habit of making errors.

Before the bottom of the 5th started, they posted a graphic that shows where Gonzalez has an ERA in the 2's through the first 4 innings. Then, after that, his ERA is closer to 6. Perhaps, they should have taken this into consideration and had somebody up in the 'pen for a quick hook in the 5th if need be.

Maybe Gonzalez is more suited to long relief. Maybe Hatters is right about just having pitchers treat every game as a relay, with each one going 3 innings or so.
