No, I was agreeing that it was a shitty choice...watched it with my daughter a year or so ago and was surprised by how bad it was, she really hated it. I liked it OK when it came out...

Now that you mention it... YES. I was thinking the same thing. I liked Tombstone. Val Kilmer was great in it with the line "I'm your huckleberry"

But it's a good, fun film but not a great one. There are a lot of much better westerns out there. This one doesn't deserve the love it's getting.

Yeah, Taxi Driver is another of my all timers. But it's very dark and not for everyone so I sort of get it. But The Karate Kid ? I can only think that there are a lot of guys of a certain age who watched it at the right time in their lives.

I think they thought Elisabeth Shue might actually go for them if she would hang with a dork like Ralph Macchio and the very idea gave them perpetual wood.
The scary thing about Taxi Driver is that I never felt for one second that DeNiro was portraying a lonely, unhinged misfit...just seemed to be HIM.
