I first saw Jaws in my tiny local theater as a second run, my friend and I were that last two people in the theater and had to sit apart in the front row. We were so close to the screen I felt almost enveloped by the movie.
When that fisherman's head came floating out of the boat underwater....wow.

The entire industry was turned on it's head after this movie.
