I think the pats d is leaps and bounds better than the steelers d.
No doubt when they apply pressure or change up the scheme every once in a while. But NE stayed with it for almost 2 qtr's. No change or very few. Moore just kept throwing the slant pass over and over until he went deep and beat one of the NE LBs who blew the coverage.
I just don't see Pitt in a playoff game sitting back in a soft zone.

Well if anybody is equaling the crap that Detroit's been putting out there it's the Hawks.
This game could be the biggest unkown. Either team could get on an offensive roll and pull away from the other. It could be a defensive battle (more lack of Seattle O than Detroit D), or it could come down to one team making a couple mistakes?
No way I'm betting this game. Not even the o/u.

Gotta be G-men at Pack to me. If the Giants D can hold Rodgers and co. to under 24 points, they have a real shot. GB's secondary will give up some big plays and that is what Eli and OBJ live on. Could be a great game.
The rest are kinda meh, looking at them on paper but you just never know, we may actually get a couple good ones.

no doubt, I would certainly stay away from betting anything on these two teams.

NYG/GB.
Come on GB I don't need the Gspots hanging around and lucking out again. Send then on vacation GB.
I can't stand people calling into the radio stations here saying they aren't scared of the Giants. If the Giants make it to the Super Bowl, this will be their path:

at Green Bay
at Dallas (likely)
at Atlanta/Seattle (likely)

If the Giants get through that, they will be playing exceptional football, especially defensively.

NO THANK YOU! I want no part of that team. Knock them out Green Bay.

I remember saying that in 2011. It's weird.

I remember saying that in 2011. It's weird.
Things that make me feel better:

1. Eli hasn't played a playoff game in 5 years.
2. In 2011 he was coming off his best season.
3. 2007 and 2011 have two things in common, Eli led the league in 4th quarter comebacks and game-winning drives those years. The only two years he has led in either category. Not so much this year.

Things that don't make me feel good:

This Giants defense is better than the 2011 defense.

Let's just get there first and see who they're facing. I think if the Patriots make it to the Super Bowl, they'll be facing their toughest opponent there.

And I still blame the Cowboys. Losing 4 of their last 5 to let the Giants sneak in, including blowing a 2-touchdown lead at home to those Giants with 5 minutes left. Horrible.

2007 - Packers beat NYG regular season, lose to NYG in playoffs, Giants win SB over Patriots
2011 - Packers beat NYG regular season, lose to NYG in playoffs, Giants win SB over Patriots
2016 - Packers beat NYG regular season, ???

Patriots fans probably want Packers to put that shit to bed as well :suds:

I'd love to see the rematch. Then I can chuckle while the Dirts of the world cling to being 2-1 against the Pats in SBs.

Not overly optimistic

Giants offense has been a one man show all season, or otherwise disappointed week after week

I expect the Giants defense to slow the Packers offense, but slowing may mean, 20-23 points, and for this Giants offense, that is still a huge challenge

Pussy.

Eli does not = Elite hun? Imagine having fELIne as your QB, OBJ, VC and Shepard with a top ranked D and unable to score 30 points? No wonder NY fans are such an angry lot.
get a room...

I could actually see the dolphins shocking everyone and pulling out a win over the Steelers.

If I were betting on an upset, it would be this game. If there's one thing the Dolphins should be able to do against the Steelers, it's run the ball. And as mentioned earlier, if Suh and the boys up front can establish some form of a pass rush, this one could get real interesting.

If the Giants win @ GB, @ Seattle, @ Dallas, @ Atlanta

or any combination

Trust me, you would want no part of the Giants

Im not predicting they pull it off, but no one wants to see them if they do, especially the Pats

Sooo agree, the Steelers come in to this postseason IMO as the most overhyped team......Their defense can be carved up, Ben hasn't been great this season...If you can slow down Bell, you can beat the Steelers, period

Maybe but after the Pats win two playoff games with blow outs it won't seem so daunting. Preventing a wildcard team from winning the SB hasn't historically been much of a challenge.

Better, don't think leaps and bounds....The Pats defense has improved drastically in the last 6 games

Coincidentally, that came against these guys:

Kapernick
Sieman
Flacco
Fitzpatrick
Petty
Matt Moore
