After listening to and posting some Toto, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan & various jazz artists recently..I felt it the right thing to do by digging this thread up to give a much deserved mention for the late great Jeff Porcaro.

We covered some of that throughout this thread....either applies...as does playing live or doing solos....it's also not genre specific.....so feel free to list your choices.

I don't mind other peoples choices, it's really a generational thing as much as anything. There's a lot of great drummers out there.....the list could go forever

Very nice call...

I had a gig last summer and had to learn 20 songs... "Rosanna" was the only one I had to actually sit down and practice....

I enjoy watching Jeff Beck: Performing This Week... Live at Ronnie Scott's. That is some first-class guitar playing right there. Jeff Beck certainly belongs in any "greatest" discussion.

He's one of my favorites. Certainly in discussion with Hendrix, Clapton and Page.
