Obviously a tough question.

Wins. Championships. Leadership.

Tim Tebow should rank high, regardless of whether you think he sucks.

There are plenty of others. Likely better.

Well, since the object of football is to win the games, let's start with the QB who won the most games.

Kellen Moore at 50-3 is at the top. No other non power 5 team in the BCS era came close to matching Boise State's success, largely in credit to Moore. Name another lower end program that was in the top ten every year he played.

His stats are gaudy: three time Heisman top ten, nearly 15,000 yards passing, 70% career completion %, 169.0 career QB rating, 148 TDs with only 28 interceptions, heck, he even punted 5 times, placing everyone inside the 20 for a 37 yd. per kick average. He was like having an offensive coordinator on the field, his ability to read college defenses and place the ball perfectly was unmatched. He was the unquestioned leader of the team, but he always gave credit to others.

Sure, there were many who played for "bigger" programs and had a more awesome physical presence. But if you want a player who exemplified the college game, you can't do better.

Tebow is the GOAT IMO. I also think McCarron should be top 10.

Not to follow the crowd but going to have to say Tebow as well. Lot of qbs could be argued for here depending on how you look at it. Are we just looking at statistics, level of competition? I think you would need to factor in the talent around him as well.

In my lifetime, Tebow was clearly the most accomplished when you combine stats and wins. However, I don't think he is the best.

If you combine all the years, I'm not sure how you can go to anyone other than Mariota. The guy had 134 total QBs to 14 career interceptions. He did it without Percy Harvin or Ahman Green or whatever playmakers the other nominated players will have. He was insanely accurate, record-breakingly efficient, and had a great feel for when to run.

The best ceiling was Russell, of course. His 2011 was better than any single season. Sam Bradford, Chris Weinke, Vince Young, Cam Newton, RG3, and Drew Brees get special mention, as well.

Vince is obviously top 5. Tebow and Vick are in that group. Tommy Frazier deserves a spot. Flute was amazing. Holloway benched Aikman, I remember correctly and it was the right call.

I would add El Roberson. Guy was amazing at KSU and he was one of the most influential players of his time. Between Roberson and Coach Snyder the spread option was born. Urban has said he was heavily influenced by that offense. I have Ryan Leif over Leinart. Complete dick, but he brought Washington State to a Rose Bowl

Impossible to pick, but if you had to pick one, you probably need to look for a qb that took an average team and made them great. Not a qb that was surrounded by tons of talent.
