Brown and Urlacher may be the best Bears duo ever. Brown is top 3-5 Bears faves, for me, ever.

Back-to-back walk-off pick sixes...I believe the 9ers pick was the first play from scrimmage in OT. Awesome stuff.

His injury-stunted career is one of the sadder Bears stories. (obvi Piccolo)

if you really think about it, Mike Brown was the last really good safety we had.

Mike Brown is my favorite football player ever, for obvious reasons.

I was at the SF game, man what an electric day at the old Soldier Field. The Cleveland game the next week was just ridiculous. Two touchdowns in what? 14 seconds? Including a hail mary, and then Brown does it again. That was a really, really fun season. The Bears were supposed to be terrible, and the D just went off with a hell of a season.

The way Brown's career ended was sad. Tommie Harris had a similar ending to his career. He was never the same after his string of injuries in 06 and 07.

Ya, that Cleveland game was crazy.

Mike Brown and crew got Jauron a COY award that year. Very fun season.

Yeah, but we got what we were due for in the playoffs. A legit SB contender in Philly came into our house and smacked us. Which is how most cinderella stories end in the NFL. You can gripe about Hugh Douglas's cheap shot on Jim Miller, but the reality is that Miller... Shane Matthews? I don't think that's exactly a huge drop off. Both were game managers and were never going to win a game coming from behind. Especially seeing as A-Train did little to nothing. Our two TD's that day that kept us in it were even a bit flukey... 50 yard end around to Ahmad Merrit and a pick six by Azumah.

Still a great year. The start to my NFL watching career as a youth, was me being forced to endure the 90's fall-out in the post-Ditka era. That was the first year they made being a Bears fan truly "fun" and I'll never forget it until the day I die. Looking forward to the next one... if it ever comes.

1999 Walter Payton Game...

Lambeau Field

Bears 14
Packers 13

Bryan Robinson blocks 27 yard FG with :07 left to preserve win...

(As long as we're talking about moments in Bear's History.) :D

Yeah, that was great. 99 was actually a year where the Bears had a great opportunity to make a run to the playoffs, but lost about as many games in the final minutes as I have seen.
