What a game. Big loss for the Bengals. They can't afford to lose anymore games.

It sucks for Bengals fans ... but their team did already have 5 losses only halfway through the season. I doubt there will ever be a replay option for uncalled penalties.. primary reason being that there are uncalled penalties on far too many plays.

Cinci has to go 5-2 now to finish 9-8 and hope to get in as a WC.

They could honestly call a penalty on just about every damn play. Wouldn't that be fun to watch.

The point was pretty clear. The refs weren’t trying to give the game to the Ravens. Do you have another conspiracy theory?
I am not a Bengals fan.
It doesnt matter to me. Outside of Refs are absolutely horrible this year.
What cant be argued is all the missed calls 2nd half of the 4th Qtr that should have been obvious & the benefactor of that was the Ravens. That isnt a conspiracy theory. Those are the facts.
Now with that said. I am not saying the Ravens still might have won. In fact I was saying with 30+ seconds & 2 timeouts, the ravens had a very good chance of getting into Tuckers FG range & winning the game before overtime. Even if the Bengals gotten the 2 pt conversion.

So this isnt a Ravens wouldnt have won speech without the refs. More of the Refs suck speech & that robbed us of a killer finish to a game.
& if I were a Bengals fan. I would be mad.
In fact when obvious penalties are missed it should upset all NFL fans. We are not talking some holding call by an interior lineman that happens every play. LOL

I just don't see how all this adds up to "the refs weren't going to let the Ravens lose the game". Do you at least have a motive?

No. I have no motive. Who can understand why refs do what they do, so inconsistently, but if it happened the exact opposite way. I would say the same thing.
If I were a Ravens fan. I would be mad.

Did the Bengals get kinda screwed on that last 2pt play? Yeah...BUT...

That's not why they lost the game.

The defense is an absolute joke. Once the Ravens adjusted - Lou could not adjust the game calling and kept doing the same thing over and over, while watching the Ravens offense march up and down the field. Just like the Eagles. Just like the Commanders. Good to great offenses will adjust and bad ones cannot. That's why the Bengals defense looked good against Cleveland, Giants, and Raiders, and got trounced by the Ravens twice, Commanders, Eagles...etc...etc...

So - should there have been a flag? Yes. Did that cost them the game? Not even close.

Sure, and for me it’s a big enough thing along with injuries that it makes it hard for me to get super into it

Yah... at least it's nice to see the NFL calling down from the booth more often (or wherever the phone call is coming from), but we're still seeing a lot of bad penalties.

And I know we're all supposed to be 'tough about it' and not attribute any loss to the officiating, but there's times where it's 100% warranted. And it's the NFL, not NCAAF... people that argue, "Well you should've played better the other 3 quarters blah blah blah" are full of shit. Yah, since getting a double digit lead and holding it the whole game against a team is so easy in the NFL...
