this was an absolutely brutal, BUH-RUUUTAL loss for the Bengals. To have OVER 2-1 advantage time of possession in the 1st half, and essentially having shut down Baltimore's offense for a half, only to fall COMPLETELY apart after that Chase Brown fumble, this is the type of loss to put a team in a tailspin for the remainder of the season. I lost count of how many times Lamar found WIDE-OPEN guys on the sidelines with no literally NO bengal within even 7-8 yards of the raven receiver, making it super-easy for them to continue drives/possessions, in the 2nd half. missed tackles galore, including on that 84-yard TD that had no business being a TD reception, geez louise! to have your best receiver have the game of his life, to have your all-pro qb taking massive shots left and right but STILL hanging in there to throw the ball down the field, only to fall apart and lose to a team whom they SHOULD'VE beaten on their own turf a few weeks back? woof. gotta be a very uncomfortable flight back to cincinnati tonight. Burrow's blood must be boiling. this might be the very night that he starts marking his calendar with "days left until my contract is up and i can leave this Godforsaken franchise"

MLB IMO has ZERO excuse to get anything wrong. The game moves WAAAY too slow. NBA moves very fast but it's a smaller area of play.

With the MLB and NBA getting things routinely wrong, especially when the MLB has the technology to completely eliminate bias, the NFL is always going to be 'whatever'.
Not really what I meant it's not just the getting it wrong, it's how important to the game it is in football. One big penalty even if correct can change an entire game. In baseball and basketball no one event has that much power. So getting it wrong a couple times in those games is no big deal, in football get one call wrong, ballgame.

Football officiating is somewhat of an art form. And much of it is opinion and interpretation. There’s shades of most everything aside from out of bounds.

Agreed, this was a brutal loss for the Bengals - Burrow played an amazing game but it just wasn’t enough, Lamar carved up the Bengals D in the second half - the Bengals D was solid in the first half but collapsed down the stretch, the Brown fumble really changed the whole momentum of the game. Both losses against the Ravens this year were brutal for the Bengals, they could easily have won both and their season and the division would be looking a whole lot different right now.

I think we're saying the same thing. MLB a big incorrect call has decided games but it's minimalized because of how many games are played. And NBA is just not AS important because of how quick scoring occurs.

All I was saying is MLB has no excuse to get anything wrong because of how slow the sport is.. whether or not it matters? Yah it does absolutely in some games, but it's not as impactful. NBA same thing. NFL it's extremely huge because of a 17 game season (previously 16) and 1 and done playoff system.

We're saying the same thing msg...
