SD coming back. Pit and cleve losing
opportunity is knocking
opportunity is knocking
These officials have been flag happy all day.
and they were right.
bengals just getting out coached
Wrong.
After the catch, the Bengals were at the 36 yardline. That's a 52 yarder for Nugent, and they would have at least had a chance (as I said) for a FG.
Should they have called a timeout? Not probably. YES. They had 3, and they ran 10 seconds off the clock, and it was clear as day that the offense was not on the same page. Why rush in that situation with 3 timeouts. Call the TO, set up a play (or two) and get on the same page. It's the same poor clock management that has plagued this team for over a decade now.
Wrong on the on-side kick. It was the wrong call. Even if they recovred it, it was the wrong call. The end result does not dictate whether a play is "good" or "bad". The situation does. That was not a good situation for that. The defense had been holding them down. You kick that ball off and force that offense, now down, to drive the length of the field. I could understand if the defense had been struggling and giving up long drives and/or points, but that was not the case.
Jeeeezus.....ReyM ... another complete WHIF
The onside was the wrong call because it didn't work. Don't even sit there and pretend you would be nothing about it if they had recovered it. It wasn't necessary by any means, but you're a fucking moron if you think that you can remove blame from Nugent because it, in your opinion, shouldn't have been called.
And about the timeout, the bottom line is a $105 million QB did something stupid again. The timeout is irrelevant.
