He was available in the supplemental draft a few days ago (zero players selected by any teams).

---------------------

Simonise, a Vancouver, British Columbia native who starred for the University of Calgary in 2015, is probably this year's best bet at getting drafted. He tied for the nation's lead with 11 touchdowns among 65 catches for 1,306 yards overall last season. Like several of this year's prospects, he declared for the supplemental draft because he was ruled ineligible for 2016 due to academics.

2016 NFL supplemental draft: Here are the prospects drawing interest

Lots of teams at least expressed interest in this player. 6'5" with a 4.42 forty time.

Sounds like a big project but worth the roll of the dice. Practice squad material while he develops, I'd imagine.

Very long shot. Might make the PS but that even seems like a long shot.

you always need depth at that position. when everyone who actually knows the system is taken, it's good to have a superior athlete you can train. you can't teach someone how to have natural genetically predisposed ability.

You can't teach what he has. Hopefully he has the ability to come in, work hard, and pick up the system and be a productive backup. Worth a flyer at this point. The WR depth is a mess at this point.

with our luck, 5 wide receivers will get injured and he'll have to start opposite of Brandon Tate.

good pickup in that case.
