Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard warned Cincinnati Bengals star receiver A.J. Green on Tuesday that when he comes across the middle in the teams' season opener Monday night he can expect to get smacked.

As if AJ thought he was just going to get away with catching the ball with no conflict. What a moron. All he did was put more pressure on himself to create that now. Same as Chad Johnson, what a moron. Just play the game and when you actually hit AJ Green over the middle, then boast after the game. "There was no way I was going to let AJ come over the middle without getting smacked!" Now if he can't follow through, he looks like a complete ass hat like Chad used to. Glad that was a Raven talking that shit instead of a Bengal for a change.

He's doing it for the intimidation factor. Plus he's legitimately one of the hardest hitting safteys in football.

It's a rivalry....always expect shit to fly before, during, and after the game.....I'm sure AJ expects nothing less, and didn't need to be told about it, but it's typical of rivalry games.....

At least he didn't threaten to shred Dalton's knee...... He's pretty good at that.

Before jumping to conclusions, it'd be helpful to read the actual quotes. There was nothing malicious at all about what he said.

I took the direct quote right from ESPN. You can blame them if you do not like the quote.

I see something like 23-13 Ravens........just don't thing our newbies in the interior line can possibly be ready to deal with the Ravens' dline this time....maybe next time, at home......I believe the Ravens are the best team in the AFC this year......of course they have the greatest quarterback in football, so there's always the possibility of fucking up the playoffs.....

We'll do the "ground and pound" and end up losing by 4 because we can't control the crowd noise in Baltimore.

The only reason why the Ravens didn't win the Super Bowl last year was because of A) Lee Evans, B) Billy Cundiff, and C) the refs. They might have the best roster in the modern era of football.

I predict a loss also.

I am going to guess, 27 to 13 Ravens. I was not inspired by the preseason in any way shape or form. Hopefully they were just flat in the preseason and come out firing on all cylinders, but I doubt it.

Just glad it is football season again.

Yes but last year they had Ben Grubbs, T-Sizzle, Jarrett Johnson.....I'm just not impressed. Ray Rice is a great player. Torey Smith is a burner. Only 2 scary players on that entire offense. Bad O-line, mediocre QB.

Then just double Ngata and make Sergio Kindle (who hasn't played in 2 years) and a rookie beat you.

I think the Ravens have a few issues to begin the year. They are a mess on the offensive line and they'll have to get creative to replace the playmaking of Sizzle. I expect that Monday night will be a fairly ugly game and we'll make more mistakes then they do. Ed Reed will score a touchdown and we'll lose the game 23 - 9.
