Ben Simmons doesn’t have a mental health issue. Ben Simmons and his agency exploited a loophole in the CBA that allowed for him to stay away and still have access to his money. Ben Simmons is mocking those who have a real issue.

If someone wants to believe Simmons that's their choice. But it is entirely reasonable for people to believe this was a purely cynical move by Simmons in which he is exploiting the actual mental health issues of millions of Americans purely to get money while refusing to work.

Assuming that he is fine because he decided to be around his new teammates is stupid. Do you think mental health means being stuck in the house 24/7 and never leaving? The Sixers environment is what caused his mental health but you will defend the sixers aboit everything so no surprise there.

And you look for any reason to criticize the Sixers. First the Sixers were screwing up by not giving away Simmons for pennies on the dollar. Then they had to give up Maxey and Thybulle if they could even think of getting Harden. Now they made a bad trade.

His camp was literally saying that his mental issues were too severe for him to even practice with the team but that he would be just fine in a week or two(or 4 days evidently) if he gets traded.

I'm not much interested in slagging Simmons anymore. He's gone. He successfully forced his way off a team despite having 4 years of max salary left on his contract and got himself to a better team for himself. But he's the Nets problem now.

But it is entirely reasonable to believe that Simmons exploited mental health claims for his own personal gain. If you want to believe otherwise that's fine with me.

He didn't practice. He literally was there to meet his team. He went from a toxic environment that caused his stress to a less toxic environment. If a toxic work environment caused my mental health and i found a new job, I'm still going to do my mental health thing but i can get back to going to work as well since I'm around better people and a job that isn't toxic

Personally, I think he's faking...the timing is just too convenient. But, I also know that a bad relationship can cause mental health issues that can resolve quickly when the relationship ends.

Anyone convinced he's faking is ignoring what a bad relationship can do to someone and anyone convinced it's real is ignoring the timing and amount of money involved.

I too think he is faking, it just fits what a lot who ever knew the guy said about him. I have no doubt he was stressed about what was going on, most would just man up and move on. If he truly had issues they won’t just go away, he is in a high profile environment.
