Sorry, when you kept on I felt you were putting words on my mouth, which in my mind you were. I said what I said, it’s all there. As far as Simmons goes I’m confident I am right. Going to be funny when he is all the sudden cured of this giant problem he must have had his whole life. I mean that is the only way he can ever play again, to say hey, I’m healed!!!

No worries. I appreciate the apology.

I do fully expect him to play again soon after he is traded. That is clear.

Doesn’t mean he is cured, but he was good enough to play last season before all the drama. Once he has a change of scenery I suspect he will be good enough to play again.

That is not indicative in any way that he is faking as you claim though.

Remove the player from the toxic relationship with the team and of course he can play again.

And yes, the relationship got toxic because he okayed poorly and then the team responded poorly.

Ben Simmons?
like i said though

If i am a GM and thinking about trading for Simmons- my #1 overriding concern is if he would be happy- because if he is not happy where he is traded he has already proven he can quit on you.

would he be happy in OKC?

i think one of the reasons Philly is having such problems trading him is becuase GM's dont want to risk Simmons going somewhere where he pouts- even if he is on his best behavior at first.

thats why i said maybe he would be happy in Boston with Tatum. Brown for Simmons and some assets makes some sense to me.

We really don’t care if he would be happy in OKC, Presti is not going to play that game.

thats what i am saying---

and im not single-ing out the Thudner. I dont think he would be happy with a lot of teams- the majority of them.

I think that if he isnt palying on a high profile team that is a contender he will eventually mope. Maybe I am wrong. WE shall see.

I wouldnt give up a ton of assets unless I was sure hed be all in and its hard for me to know how anyone could guarantee that.

None of us know how any of the GMs rate Simmons. And I'm not going to pretend I know.

I offered up a possible trade scenario involving OKC. IMO an SGA/Simmons back court is intriguing. And Simmons is worth a heck of a lot more than a bunch of mid round draft picks. But whether Presti thinks that or not is a mystery.

He did play scared.

Which is why it is so baffling to me that Philly has handled this the way they have.

His issues are mental. It isn’t effort.

I actually think he would be best in a small market of of the limelight. May even be what he wants if he can be the focal point.

Ben would love to be the best player on a losing team because he was born a bitch.

Reminder that ben isn't even the best perimeter defender on the team.

Should be killed, not traded. And his money should be confiscated by the city and wasted on crackheads.

The longer these rumors continue to flow out there, I am thinking somehow the Lakers will be involved in Simmons coming west. The Lakers don't have much to offer except maybe Bazemore, some Second Round picks, and maybe, I say maybe THT. The Lakers have made it well-known they are interested in Simmons and Lamb in Indiana both excellent defenders. Don't know the final tally but the Lakers are definitely in play in finding defensive help and now that they are playing pretty well in the last ten games or so, they are probably not going to move Westbrook as Vogel and maybe James has everyone playing pretty well including guys like Howard and Jordon, Reaves, Ellington, Anthony, Bradley, and AD when he is not injured.

I would trade him and a salary filler for RW in a heartbeat. LBJ will keep him in check....problem is Philly wouldn't do that

It'll be interesting. I think part of the reason they wouldn't is that they may still be able to do better. But, if they can't, it's a trade they should probably at least consider because Westbrook would actually fit fairly well with them.

The problem is the 14 million of filler needed. The sixers already lose the better player in the deal AND they have to find 14 million of filler to get it done? That means they have to give up Danny Green and/or Seth Curry just to make it work. That's why any Russ deal has to be a three teamer that would also entail somebody taking on Tobias Harris.
