This is serious shit here fellas.. Drank Budweiser most of my life. I know for a fact it's watered down compared to the old school German beer it was made to be years ago. InBev has watered it down I know for a fact.
Anyone know of a good brew that's comparable to old school Budweiser? I know the grain is rice.. Water, Barley Malt, Rice, Yeast, Hops.
Fuck InBev. Bastards don't even make old school Michelob anywhere and stick to Michelob ultra for the gays
Foster's...it's Australian for "Budweiser"
No. It’s not. Green colored bottles allow more light in which speeds up oxidation and gives beer the skunky taste and smell. Heat light and air are three things that will cause this. So always get dark bottles and store it in a cool place, if not refrigerated. The two I find the skunkiest are Yeungling and Heineken, both of which come in green bottles. Coincidence?
doesn't taste like budweiser.
I started drinking their Edmund Fitzgerald porter this summer. I’m a fan.Great Lakes Brewery is badass.
Been doing the craft beer thing since long before it was hip. 1989.
This pic that I often use as an avi is from their Burning River Pale Ale label.

I remember the old Stubby Olympia Beer Bottle.Lol, yup. I think I was maybe 12 years old when it first showed up in the Midwest. They had those fucked up cans that you had to learn how to open them.
No, it's more about the fact that it's not anywhere near the best product available from Australian breweries, but they have incredible marketing reach
I used to work at a brewery. You pick up some things over the years.Correcked. This is why I generally avoid green or clear bottles. I'll buy Modelos in a 12-pack, though, because they're somewhat shaded by the cardboard
i'll remember that the next time i'm in australia.
Damn...how did I miss this thread for a whole week???
I will drink Bud when I'm going for volume, like this weekend, perhaps, but there are much, much better options out there.
And I managed to find Michelob Light, not the ultra, when I was Upstate in July
I was at spec’s just now and had to go back to this thread to see my options.
Wish I could find some old-school Michelob

But... Rolling Rock comes in a green bottle, and it's nowhere close to skunky
