Would you argue with me if we called shoes, footwear? Just because we no longer call it that, and instead use more excepting language doesn't change it one iota! In fact let's use you own life history and whatever discrimination you've encountered. Would it be more acceptable to you if the argument was Asians are not discriminated against because others are following the constitution allowing for freedom of association? If someone tried that against you or anyone else, you/they would have an ally in me!!

Again, this goes to a different variant of discrimination. Asians may not get followed around a store, but they get screwed big time in other ways.

BTW: Remember when GK put out information that African Americans also owned slaves, well, this is true and false, but put out to make it appear that there was some form of equivalency in doing so. Well, truth is "free" Black slave owners often bought their relatives out of bondage, and when in charge of black and white slaves more often than not they were indentured. In very rare cases were there black owners who treated their slaves like the majority ownership group. The lone exception was the buying and selling of the same.

Why do I state this now? well, first I can not allow misinformation to just be taken as whole truth. Just like I won't give a pass to anyone who wants to create the false equivalency where current discrimination exists. Agreed we all are members of this full of shit country, it is however, the best that the planet has to offer in some ways. their is so much misinformation about the zimmerman case starting with zimmerman being white . he is not he is hispanic but who really cares ? the actions he took before and after lead me to believe he isnt a victim and he is guilty of some type of crime

having a right to do something doesnt mean you should . he should have let law enforcement handle it as he was told to do

the irish were indentured servants when they came to america in the 1800's the 1st colonist had white indentured servants .

the word "slave " comes from the word slavic which is east european and slavs were slaves

i cant change jim crow or slavery but i dont see brazil being asked to pay reparations for their slaves and they took far more slaves then anyone in north america 14 mil to about 1/2 mil . not saying anyone here advocates that

that being said a black man has every daggone right to be gun shy about race and what happens to him because there is residual racism . i am not sure it will all go away because there is hate on both sides

i am not black , i can never be black , however i have experienced racism too so i know it sucks because what little i have experienced sucked and made me furious and i can on imagine how it feels on a much greater scale

so what can i do ? treat people with dignity and respect and teach my kids to do the same and hope the lesson takes

Opposition by DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and other DC City Council members has put them at a real disadvantage in luring Snyder back to the District. But Bowser softened her stance on the name-change issue even before the poll came out. Now that it has, this obviously raises the chances for the Redskins to go back to DC, where we could really have home field advantage. But even with these more favorable odds, there are plenty of other hurdles to clear.

I hear you on that. But putting a stadium in a place like Fed Ex draws out too many bourgeois fans instead of die-hard fans who won't sell their tickets and will rock the stadium like they did in RFK.
