Any word on him and his ankle? It didn’t look bad but he was obviously hampered. Those things usually get worse too after the game. I think he might be a ??? this week.

From what I understand that was a re-aggravation of an existing ankle problem he suffered on the his first catch.
Most likely going to be an issue for the duration. I just hope its manageable.

Not sure playing in the Giants game is why he re-aggravated it but I sure would like to know why Beasley didn’t get a week off.

Cole Beasley - WR - Cowboys
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett was cautious about Cole Beasley's (ankle) availability this week.

"We’ll just see how he feels as the week goes on," Garrett said. "Seemed like he was doing a little bit better today and we’ll just see how he is day by day as the week goes on." Beasley was able to play through the injury against the Seahawks, so it would be surprising if he is not ready to face the Rams on Saturday.

The Green Bay Press Gazette views free agent Cole Beasley as a possible target for the Packers.

Beasley isn’t expected to be re-signed by Dallas after calling out the front office after the season. He could be a slot replacement for Randall Cobb, who’s also a free agent. Beasley is a potential upgrade on Cobb, but he’d be a low upside signing.

time to move on from this guy

the play where he looked back at Dak with the what the fuck kinda pass was that when he coulda caught the rebound off the DB if he had stayed with the play did it for me.

idiot didn't learn anything from the Dez situation last year

I understand the point bease was trying to make as far as touches go.. he should have been thrown to much more. But there are only so many balls to go around. I think Amari is easily the best receiver we had had since Irvin. Gallup looks like a 3rd round steal. It is up to the front office to find a replacement for bease.

It’s tough to see Beasley go. I think that Dak really has to improve so much more to get this offense going in the right direction. Bringing in another top receiver to go along with cooper would be amazing and help the run game, making life for Zeke much easier

I don't know about the rest of you but I saw enough of Gallup to think he can be a very good player in this league. I think we will be looking for a #3 and #4 guy this year to play with the top 2. Perhaps that is Beasley/Hurns or someone else that was already here or perhaps we look to the draft/free agency. But I for one love the idea of Gallup growing and becoming a bigger part of this Offense. In order to field a team under the cap and to resign your core players you need to let other guys go and replace them with cheaper guys but those cheaper guys need to produce of course. I don't expect to see us bring in another "starter" quality WR via free agency nor do I see us using one of our early picks on the position unless there is someone out there that drops that we really love.

I agree about Gallup. I believe I heard the Cowboys are well under the cap and have plenty of money this year to spend so I think they may bring someone in, a big time receiver and then if Dak for whatever reason does not pan out that the following year they would get some veteran like nick foles

For this year we are way under but half of that goes to D Law and the rest needs to be preserved for the next couple of years when a lot of the young guys need to be taken care of - Dak, Zeke, Jones, etc. We can't put that money towards another WR IMO. Sadly I do think at the same time we need to pay some of these young guys we will be also saying goodbye to T Smith and his contract as his body just seems almost done (maybe 2 more seasons?) so that will help financially depending on how we replace him. It's also why I wouldn't mind using an early pick this year or next year on OT again. Starting LTs cost a fortune in FA and I'm not sure we have anyone on the roster ready to step in. Much better to get one via the draft if you can. Of all the potential needs for this team I see WR as one of the lowest priorities:2cents:

think we attempt to get Beasley's replacement in the draft. Even if for some reason we dont lose him.

I've seen a couple of different reports that said the Cowboys might go after Adam Humphries from Tampa Bay. Considering none of our DB's came close to covering him, I'm all for it

Maybe Crabtree could be a decent slot guy and chain mover on 3rd down. We don't need a star

He reminds me of bease a lot. He is intriguing because he is quite a bit younger than bease.

The Cows need to resign him. When healthy, he's good. Worth spending a little money.

Beasley want's the ball more than he'll get here. I honestly don't think he'll sign with Dallas unless they offered much much more than another team.

My guess is he's a Patriot or Packer this season. I'll wish him the best as long as he's not in the NFCE or playing Dallas.
