Cousins is out for the season.

Not sure it matters much to their playoff chances with as easy a schedule as they have from here on out.

New Orleans
Denver
Chicago
Las Vegas
Cinci
Detroit
Green Bay
Detroit

9 wins probably gets them to the playoffs in the NFC. 10 for sure. 5-4 now. Not hard to see them winning 4 or 5 of those remaining games.

Their defense is finally showing some signs of fight in them after not showing any for the past couple of seasons. And the Vikes offense is quietly one of the more talented in the league especially now that the offensive line is playing really well. And O'Connell is doing a really bang up job this year after a 1st year with some head scratching moves.

Neither team deserves to be on prime time.
Every team has at least one nationally televised game. They used to screw the Lions every year, because nobody wanted to watched them. So they'd make their nationally televised game against the best team on their schedule. And it would always be our Thanksgiving game because they didn't want to give us any other national games. So every year on Thanksgiving we would get absolutely smoked.

But I don't remember any other games between 2 horribad teams. I'm sure there has been though.

2 bad teams usually make for a good game... Meaning, most likely won't be a blowout...

As bad as this appears, they may have some work to do to match the shit show that was the Giants and Bills last month. That was uglier than my pimple faced Jr. High girlfriend and she was damn ugly, take my word for it. :D

Cousins is out for the season.
Did you see that they won their last game without him? Their schedule is soft.

The Falcons aren't that good.

They only beat the Bears by 6 and that is their easiest remaining game. They could lose that game.

I see 2, maybe 3 more wins. I doubt 8-9 gets them a WC.

Yeah, if you like 6-3 games

  • Over/under for this game is 38.5 points
  • Offense: Carolina 17.5 pts/game, Chicago 20.9 pts/game
  • Defense: Carolina (worst in league) 28.3 pts/game, Chicago 26.9
I think combined points will come in 30-38 range.

From my quick review... 21 combined points appears to be lowest scoring game this season followed by 3 games of 23 points. NYJ vs NYG would have been lowest had Jets not had late FG to put it to OT.

Not surprising... Giants involved in 3 of the 4 games. NYG still play NE on Nov 26th... presently the 2 lowest scoring teams in league.

I think I'm just getting old. I too rarely watch a prime time game past halftime any longer. If you love the NFL in general, then living on the West Coast is the way to go. These games on Eastern Standard Time are hard for us old folks to stay up for.
When I lived in CA I loved prime time games....now in Nashville? Usually heading to bed by halftime. No later than early to midway through the 3rd quarter.

I can't wait till we move to Vegas next year.

Justin Fields (thumb) is inactive for Week 10 against the Panthers.
One of the five things coach Matt Eberflus said earlier this week ended up coming true. It will be Tyson Bagent’s fourth and almost certainly final start against a soft Panthers defense. Joining Fields on the shelf are DB Nate Davis, OL Terell Smith, LB Tremaine Edmunds, FB Khari Blasingame, DL Dominique Robinson and WR Velus Jones. If Fields indeed returns for Week 11, it will be for a road date in Detroit.

DJ Chark (elbow) is inactive for Week 10 against the Bears.
Always-injured Chark has barely played this season. Joining Chark on the sidelines are OLB Brian Burns, WR Laviska Shenault, WR DJ Chark, CB CJ Henderson, OG Nash Jensen and TE Stephen Sullivan.
