NO way Buff was keeping him on the week 1 roster...they picked his brain and sent him on his way....

Eh… I disagree. They needed a backup QB, and he's an experienced one. They hadn't even began game planning yet for the Bears.

He would have had the job if he didn't play awful last night, IMO.

The bills signed Kyle Orton, palmer was only gonna be there til they found someone better, or more experienced.

Bears have released CB Kalvin Hayden!! That was a surprise...what about depth at CB/Nickle?

Hmm… Perhaps he never quite recovered from his injury. When he was healthy, he was a fine CB.

I think they may have liked what they saw in CJ Wilson. He played well.

He's gone too Rich... I'm wondering if they are shopping, cause ST and now CB depth isn't very good. (not that it was before) They have kept a bunch of DE's... Just odd to me. I'm betting this isn't the final roster we will see next Sunday. Moves will be made.
Looking around the league to see who else was let go.

sigh of relief here. he was terrible before he was hurt, no reason to keep someone a step slow to backup.

I would welcome major wright back. it was amazing how bad the best young tandem in football got after urlacher retired.

With an offensive line without very much depth, Ebon Britton got cut as well.

Another 13 have been cut....some who have already been mentioned in this thread:

Sorry to see Josh Bellamy and Austen Lane get the axe.

So those are the final cuts...we're down to 53. Now I guess Emery looks at the Free Agency garbage pile?

Britton was the biggest surprise to me. I didn't expect to see him on the cut list.

Bellamy might make it back to the practice squad, pretty sure Chris Williams is gonna get picked up though. Lattimore might make it back too. Just seemed too short with alot of balls going just over his head. Trice might make it back as well, at least to see if he can learn the position, and not just put himself in position to make highlight hits. Guess we see if they pick anyone up. They must be pretty confident with Mills health to not keep Briton.

I was hoping Williams would have really stepped forward and take the return man role. That injury really hurt his chances.

The one thing we have to keep in mind- How many guys that were cut last year, can you remember? How many went on to play well elsewhere? I know at this time, we are eating up anything we can, but I'm pretty sure that these names will be quickly forgotten. (at least I hope)
